Juno es la gran sorpresa para esta edición de los OSCARS. Con cuatro de las más importantes candidaturas, esta producción concebida como independiente, que se estrenó en España el pasado día 1 de febrero, sin duda está dando mucho de qué hablar. Mejor película, mejor dirección, mejor guión original y mejor actriz protagonista son los cuatro premios de la academia por los que opta esta tragicomedia sobre la vida, el amor y las relaciones humanas.
Ellen Page, actriz de veinte años que ya sorprendió a críticos y espectadores con su actuación en Hard Candy, ha declarado sobre su nominación: “Estoy extremadamente agradecida y emocionada por este reconocimiento y me resulta increíble estar nominada junto con actores y actrices a quiénes admiro y respeto. En primer lugar me siento increíblemente agradecida por estar en esta película. Y me siento muy feliz también por Jason y Diablo y el resto del equipo que ha colaborado en hacer realidad este proyecto”
Asimismo, Jason Reitman, hijo de director de cine que ya demostró su talento en la sátira sobre el consumo del tabaco: “Gracias por Fumar”, también realizó unas declaraciones el día que conoció las candidaturas: “Cuando tenía doce años, recuerdo preguntar a mi padre, por qué no había ido nunca a los Oscars. Me respondió que iría cuando estuviera nominado. Por alguna razón, a esa edad, tuve las agallas de preguntar: ¿Y si yo alguna vez estoy nominado? ¿Vendrás entonces? Mi padre sonrió y dijo que sí. Así que creo que los dos vamos a ir a por un smoking.”
